- Skin conditions : Inflammatory dermatoses or infections, as the radiofrequency energy may make them worse
- Muscle or connective tissue disorders : The intense contractions induced by the device may aggravate these conditions
- Bleeding disorders or blood thinners : You should not undergo EMSCULPT NEO if you have bleeding disorders or take blood thinners
- Recent surgical procedures : You should not undergo EMSCULPT NEO if you have had a recent surgical procedure in the treatment area
- Metal implants : You should not undergo EMSCULPT NEO if you have metal implants in the treatment area, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, or metal IUDs
- History of cancer : You should not undergo EMSCULPT NEO if you have a history of cancer, especially if the treatment area is near the site of a previous tumor
- People with heart, kidney, or liver problems or diseases

EMSCULPT NEO treatment is not recommended in some circumstances due to the electromagnetic effects of the treatment. EMSCULPT NEO isn’t an appropriate choice if you:
- Have implanted metal, a pacemaker or cardiac defibrillator near the treatment site.
- Have cardiac issues or a history of seizures.
- Have a hernia or have had recent surgery near the treatment site.
- Breastfeeding or pregnancy
- Cardiac pacemaker, implanted neurostimulator, defibrillator, drug pump, or electronic implanted device
- Pins, Metal rods, plates, orthopedic implants/joints, or metal IUD
- Cardiac disorders, epilepsy, active malignancy, or pulmonary insufficiency
EMSCULPT NEO should NOT be used in patients with cardiac pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. EMSCULPT NEO should NOT be used in patients with implanted neurostimulators or drug pumps.
